On Saturday the 16th of November our sole place of business burnt down in a terrible accident that none of us foresaw.
This was a small family business that only just managed to provide the basic necessities for our daily living, with next to nothing put aside for rainy days.
My business makes Indian sweets and savories and sells them in town.
The profit we make is pretty meagre but it kept us afloat and provided enough for our family to live peaceably. This is not the case anymore.
Unfortunately it was the kitchen in which we cook these goods that was burnt down.
A variety of indredients, tools and equipment that we accumulated over the course of the last ten years of running this business was stored and used on a regular basis in this kitchen.
All of those things, amounting to a cost of about $3000 worth of stock and equipment was regrettably lost in the fire.
Sacks of Groceries; Sugar, flour and the like that was to supply our stock for the next month was completely destroying leaving us with a financial vacuum for the forthcoming winter.
The entire kitchen, it's walls and roofing have all been declared unusable as the fire was hot enough to melt most of steel beams used in the construction. Having contacted the construction suppliers they have quoted a minimum of $2000 as a starter to build the kitchen from the ground up.
If this fundraiser is successful we can hopefully get started on the construction and get the business back up and running. Until then we are being provided some support from distant family members for our food and supplies in the meantime but none of them are well of so it is essential that we get back on our feet soon.
Any size donation large or small is greatly appreciated by our family and our blessings will be with you for your generosity.
If you cannot donate for any reason then all we ask is that you share this page with the world so that someone will be able to help us.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to our plight and God be with you.
