MY BELOVED CAT FLUFFY (nickname Kaka) NEEDS EXPENSIVE MEDICAL HELP TO SAVE HER LIFEπŸ™πŸ» please take your time to read everything as I gave my best to explain the situation. I am embarassed to ask for donations, but I see no other way to save her. I do not have it in me to put her down to sleep when I know there is a cure. I found this beautiful little female kitten under my car a couple of weeks ago. She was extremely skinny, very weak, couldn't walk nor eat by herself due to exhaustion πŸ˜” Luckely, she started gaining weight and seemed to get better with each day. We became very fond of her, she is the cuddliest little fur ball, gentle little creature only 6 months old with a huge will to live. Not long after, Fluffy started to show signs of a cruel and harsh illness that goes by the name Peritonitis, or more known as dry/wet FIP. Her stomach/abdomen is filling up with fluid and her nervous system is starting to fail. She cannot use her back legs,at first they were wobbly but she could manage a few steps, but now she is completely unable to walk. We feed her, we take her to the litter box many times a day, we clean her. Fluffy is also anemic and has cystic enlarged kidneys. She is currently under treatment with antibiotics, vitamins, shots and on a special diet to help her kidneys. She has undergone an Abdominal ultrasound, X-rey, 3 different blood works and a blood test for FIP (which is very expensive-the blood gets send to Germany as we don't have a suitable lab in Croatia). All of this has cost me 2 150,00 HRK (aprox 285€) so far and to do more for her is way beyond my means. I also bought medical diet food for her kidneys costing an additional 30€. There is a cure for FIP called Mutian, developed by dr. Pedersen (USA) and it's manufactured in China. We have a support group in Croatia (they provide advice and contacts necessary to order the medicine) and lead us through the journey. The treatment lasts for 84 days, the cat gets a shot each day at the same time. The survival rate is huge and by all I have been told it is almost 90%. There are also international support groups (FIP Fighters on Facebook) with people from all over the world sharing their succes stories and healthy cats. Little Fluffy will get a true chance to survive this virus and lead a long life in a loving family. One bottle of medicine is 5ml and costs 60$ /49€. The cost of the treatment could be anywhere between 1,8 - 2,5 thousand euros (1800-2500€) depending on the dosage. She is a very small and light cat so we believe a small dose (1.4ml a day) will be needed until she starts to feel better and gains weight (more weight=higher dosage). That sum (1.8-2.5k €) includes 3 blood works and abdominal ultrasounds (cca 3000 HRK/ 400€) she will have to do after each month of treatment so the vet can monitor her recovery. πŸ™πŸ» If you know anyone who has a soft spot for kitties and would like to contribute, please share with them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart❀️ I am sending you lots of love from my small hometown Trogir. Thank you for reading, stay safe.
