Once again we stumbled over some really difficult times, covered in bills to pay all at once. Murphy's law they say, but we will not give up! We never did in the past, we never will in the future..
🐾 Expense #1 - Spider
This is the 'cherry on the cake' one, the one that even if we wanted to postpone, there was no option! A life depends on it!..
Many of you, who are following us on Instagram (Kuwait Animal Aid), will know as well that Spider (the 6 months old baby who was thrown out on the streets because of his disability) has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). As you are aware, the treatment take 84 days and is extremely expensive for us, especially when Spider isn't the only case to sponsor into health. We started treatment already late August. So far we have gone through 2 sets of 15 vials with him ($ 2,300). Few days back, when we were certain it was the end of his treatment, despite Spider's tremendous recovery, his a/g in the blood profile indicated Spider isn't ready to stop the treatment yet. Vials are on its way, many of our regular supporters already donated, others shared and cared, yet we are still in the shortage.
🐾 Expense #2 - Trip to Washington DC
Two weeks ago 6 lucky kitties were approved to leave Kuwait to a better life. As you know, the expenses for having the kitties taken by a flight buddy (they travel as an extra luggage on the same ticket of a Volunteering Traveler) are almost half the expenses to be travelling by Cargo. Having made the arrangements with a Volunteer, travelling to Washington DC, we were rest assured all is running smooth and our babies are on their way to their new homes. Unfortunate Events trash this lovely picture of a successful trip.. Because of overbooked spaces for animal carriage, rebooking the flight for our Volunteer wasn't inclusive of the kitties.
We have a chance to send these lucky babies on the 9th of December by Cargo, yet finances now are short - Cargo is almost double cost to a Flight Buddy. We are still in the shortage...
🐾 Expense #3 - Daily Care & Hospitalization of the Voiceless
Regardless all what 's happening above, the rest of our rescue is suffering too! A major financial need is consuming most of the donations and savings for recent tragedies happening on the streets of Kuwait. Those who follow us on Instagram ( Kuwait Animal Aid ) will be familiar with the Dog Attack incident from the 5th of November, where a big cage full of exotic cats was abandoned near one of the Veterinary Clinics. Unthoughtful people helped themselves only to some of the kitties, while others went and took the cage, leaving the remaining kitties near the dumpsters. Stray Dogs attacked the kitties, some died, those who were fast and near a shelter hid, while few were in critical condition by the time of our rescue's arrival. Kitties are still in our possession, some fully recovered while others being treated for wounds and viruses they have picked up while outside. Finances used for this mission and many other daily requirements and disasters, have drained us badly.
Today we need your help urgently,
Please give us a hand to collect what is outstanding!
Please, help us help those who can't help themselves!
Details in pictures attached,
Thank you ♥️ and,
God Bless 🙏🏻
