Fiona is running, swimming, hiking and getting pretty muddy to raise money for good causes!

So.......over the next month I will be taking part in three different events to raise money for Macmillan, Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation.

As a warm up I will be doing a 5k pretty muddy run on Saturday 18th June, then on 9th July I will be doing a 23mile hike along the Jurassic Coast, topped off by a 1.4 mile sea swim the following morning. Well, that is the intention anyway! My work collleagues think I'm crazy to do the swim the day after the hike, and reckon I will need pulling along in the the water, but I'm gonna give it a crack anyway!

Over the last 3 years, I have had several friends, family and work colleagues who have been affected by cancer or heart disease, some have been very lucky and have beaten these killers, but, unfortunately others have not been so fortunate; Joe, Dave C, Annie and Chappers were all taken far too soon. So... In their memory I will do my best to complete these challenges, in as quick a time as my aging body will allow!
