GEMS

My name is Sharon Alai, better known as MC Sharon aka Decibelle aka Alshaverb. I am a musical genius, writer, producer and performer from Kenya who needs your help in creating my next musical masterpiece GEMS.

GEMS are precious stones; little metallic treasures that many a people yearn to possess. In my case GEMS stands for Genetically Emancipated Musical Soul. This may be my fourth studio project but I regard it as my first real one because of the amount of time, resources, creativity and passion involved. Not only have I spent almost a year working on it. I have also managed to work with producers beyond Africa.

I am a singer, rapper and instrumentalist thus GEMS is an embodiment of my three musical strengths intertwined. I have borrowed from jazz, hip hop, soul and African influences to create a masterpiece that will appeal to a unique global demographic. Social consciousness, edutainment, enlightenment and uplifting are some of the things I aim to achieve with this independent release GEMS; my utmostfelt gift to the universe that had endowed me with talent and stories.

I am also a journalism graduate and a writer. So far I have written one book: Bottle Battles, Binges and Brew Blues 1: THE CHRONICLES OF A CONVALESCENT ALCOHOLIC. it is s hilarious 3 part 9 chapter series involving a young artistic female battling the bottle. So far I have recorded most of the singles for the album. I have also shot and released the video for the first single KUTUPANGA; a timely piece as evidenced by the message of enlightenment and peace for the Kenyan populace as we approach the next elections. It has been a bitter sweet process for me financially because I have to bear all the costs from my humble pocket. In addition to being a single mother of two, a student and an independent artiste it has been a challenge and there have been delays. Thus I need you to follow through. Please help me get there.
