The campaign is to fund the development, production, editing, marketing, distribution and printing of life-long work in the form of a book I am writing.
The book, An Adventurer’s Guide to Tantric Yoga is a provocative and intelligent account of the study, embodiment and leadership of BOTH yoga and tantra. The study of meditation and intentional communities is also accounted for, as are the principles of meditation (such as, generosity, what you put in comes back, totality, being present in each moment, non-reaction and non-judgement as ways of living life) determines our quality of life and experiences. The book looks at life from the big picture, and through the real-life lessons and hurdles I have lived, one can come to their own conclusions as to what makes life valuable. For many I have spoken to while living on Koh Phangan, the truth, community, eros, depth, happiness surpass all things superficial. This is what people really long for. This book is meant to help you go deeper, beyond food, sex, money and things to obtain and tells you how to go about it. The chapters acts as tips you can master (or not, do as you wish) as big topics.
After leaving the professional corporate "system" over twelve years ago in order to dedicate life to meditation and the sharing of natural ways of healing, I traveled the world and then landed on Koh Phagnan, Thailand. "Tantra Island" is known for both its dark side (many parties) and healing and yoga. Part of the reputation as a place to learn yoga has been built from the development of my tantric yoga teacher trainings that were housed by a now popular yoga centre. As a teacher of over 2,000 yoga teachers, I experienced the phenomenon of life! How life REALLY IS our own creation. It can be yours too, inspired by this book. This book may help you to have and experience whatever you want. You need to practice to get to this wisdom! Tip: do not place a deadline on what you wish for. The universe doesn't work this way.
Having studied and really lived meditation for since 2007 and now having lived in Thailand for the past eight years, the process of deconditioning myself from Western, Canadian upbringing and society has been long. Thankfully, and through this journey, I don't have a lot of fear. My specialties are still teaching yoga and also leading groups to discover what tantra means for them. I use my experience with the body and mind in order to do healing work with groups on our collective desires for love, sexuality and all the emotions that are captured in between these processes. The book is for people to come to a greater understanding of how life works to bring great happiness, which means, healing, practice, gratitude and experience. We can ask to be "healed" by another and this can work to a point. We can receive many sessions in therapeutic massage, physio, Chi Nei Tsang, cranial sacral therapy, chakra balancing, theta healing (there is so many things that can be done to heal the body and the mind, and I do many of these therapies for many years also). The remainder of the work must come from the individual. No one can do it for you, like learning a language. You have to put the work into becoming proficient in yoga, in meditation, in trying tantric practices again and again, the desire for community by giving to it. The understanding of how life works from a tantric yoga perspective (which is my perspective and expertise) will come from this. You can grow from this book.
The book will be available online and in paperback, hopefully rising to No. 1 on Amazon. It is created to give a picture of the real possibilities (and also dangers) of living and studying in Koh Phagnan (where many come, take a workshop and are all-of-a-sudden a healer/teacher and are not yet healed or in trust themselves, especially with a topic with such misinterpreted meaning and ways to learn/know/experience. This is tantra as we know it on Koh Phangan...) The book provided ways for everyone to meditate, do yoga, learn neo-tantra methodology and also to become the practices.
Understanding how to and achieving a balanced, content life via reading this book may occur, also the ability to manifest your own life on a tropical island with your own life elements that bring you Bliss when layers of human suffering have been uncovered. You may find that in your vulnerability, you rise up.
My wish is for more amazing people to come to their own conclusions on what tantra is, because it shows up differently for everyone and is a journey that really cannot be explained or rationalized as it plays out. The book gives a recollection of how I have come to be in paradise (and how you can also) and the continued work (including a look at plant medicine journeys) that it takes to "know," to "give" and to find the LOVE you seek, in all its forms - embodied, self, romantic, erotic, partnered, spiritual, with the divine.
