Financial help needed for Domas Aukstuolis

Last Saturday our close family friend Domas Aukstuolis had an accident that left him with both broken legs. Left leg has been severely injured with open bone fractures and muscle damage. Domas already withstood 3 complicated surgeries, one of them being more than 8 hours long, where surgeons tried to reconstruct the bones in his left leg. He will need a few more surgeries to fix the damaged muscle tissue and bones. Donata, his wife, with the help from her family, is trying to achieve impossible: stay at his bedside, go to work without getting any sleep, and take care of their toddler. Since Domas will not be able to work for a while, his family will face financial burden. It may take a whole year until he is ready to stand of his feet, weeks if not months until he can go back to work. Domas has medical insurance, however, it will not cover all the expenses. He will need a long rehabilitation, medical equipment, physical therapy, psychological support, etc. Domas is such a kind, caring person, who will always be the first to help others. Now it's our chance to help him, so his long road to recovery is faster and easier. No amount is too small.

savaitgalį artimų draugų šeimą ištiko didelė nelaimė. Domas Aukštuolis

nelaimingo atsitikimo metu susilaužė abi kojas. Kairiojoje – atviras

lūžis, dešiniojoje – lūžiai keliose vietose. Per kelias dienas Domui jau

padarytos 3 operacijos, ir dar ne viena laukia artimiausiomis dienomis.

Daktarai bando surinkti kojos kaulus iš sutrupėjusių dalelių, jau

numatytos kaulo ir raumenų persodinimo operacijos. Domo žmona Donata,

padedama artimųjų, bando atlikti tai, kas neįmanoma: būti šalia vyro,

nemigusi bėgti į darbą, rūpintis mažąja dukryte... Žinoma, ant jos pečių

gula ir finansinė atsokomybė. Praeis ne viena savaitė, kol Domas galės

pradėti dirbti, ne vienas mėnuo, kol galės atsistoti ant kojų. Kaip jau

ne vienas iš mūsų žinome, sveikatos draudimas irgi ne viską padengia

100%. O juk bus dar reikalinga ir speciali įranga, fizinės terapijos...
Žinau,

kad Domas ir Donata turi daug gerų draugų, kurie nuo pat nelaimės

pradžios moraliai paremia šeimą. Domas yra iš tų žmonių, kur atsitikus

nelaimei, pirmas išties pagalbos ranką. Dabar mūsų eilė ištiesti

pagalbos ranką jam. Duoti visada lengviau nei prašyti.
