Financial Assistance for my cousin Vincie

It’s All Saint’s Day and it’s my 36th birthday. I usually organize a small party for my birthday. But this year, it’s different.

Last week, Friday, my cousin was admitted at Victor Potenciano Hospital, Mandaluyong, due to hypertension and generalized edema. (He is DM on insulin and hypertensive, by the way). Upon admission, my brother heard what the ER Nurse told him, “Bakit ngayon ka lang nagpa-admit?”

Upon admission, they did some laboratory work-ups. And all the results was beyond normal.

Creatinine was high, it was 1000+, Potassium is 2.5, Hemoglobin is 6.0, Blood Sugar of 70, dehydrated, etc.

The doctor ordered for STAT blood transfusion and dialysis on the next day. From the time of confinement, he did 4 dialysis already and kidney biopsy. (I will attach the medical certificate here)

As of October 27, 2020 my cousin’s bill was P218K+ and as of October 29, 2020 it was P249K+ and counting.

He is fit for discharge today, but our money is not enough. He needs go for a follow-up after one week for the kidney biopsy result and for the final diagnosis, but while waiting he has to continue the hemodialysis which is every other day as per the nephrologist.

I am asking everyone if you could help my cousin for this. I never asked for a birthday gift from anyone, but this year, I will.

My cousin is a very independent person. He even tried to keep it from us and helped me financially when my Mom was admitted twice in the hospital, without me knowing that he’s also in need and sick. Every time we asked him, he will always say, “I’m okay”.

PS: My cousin is Vincie Angelo Valdez Bolivar, 32 years old. He is the eldest in the family and a breadwinner. He is a Registered Nurse-Midwife by profession. A graduate of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Batch 2008. As of now, he is working as CSR in a BPO Company. Currently residing in Taguig City.
