Financial Assistance for Baby Zue Romelle’s Hospital Bill

Our youngest daughter, Zue Romelle Villuga, was born prematurely on September 29, 2021.

My partner, Aliza, started bleeding on Sep 1 and continued having series of bleeding for 2-3 weeks. We then learned that her pregnancy condition is placenta previa. As per her OB's advised, since the bleeding is getting worse, it would be best to have the baby out to avoid intoxication when she bled on her 35th week of pregnancy. Since she was able to do natural birth for our first 2 daughters, we weren't expecting that the baby need to come out prematurely. Because of the pandemic, government funded hospitals here in the Philippines is full of covid patients and we have been advised that it would be best to get the operation done in a private institution that has a lesser chance of contracting the virus. We have then prepared the amount that was quoted to us for the Caesarean operation for the safety of my partner and my daughter.

The CS operation went well but the Pediatrician and Neonatal advised that the baby needs to stay in NICU due to several findings such as RDS and Pneumonia. As day goes by, the doctors are discovering more complications on her heart and blood that then required her for a blood transfusion this weekend. The transfusion was conducted and there are no negative reactions that has been seen on her during the observation period. The doctor has cleared her to go home the following day, but we have used up all of our savings and really need financial help to bring our baby home. There has been a lot of medicines and tests that needs to be done outside the hospital that is not included on the hospital bill. the Ceasarean operation alone has cost us 75,000PHP. We have reached out to government officials and institutions for financial assistance, but since we went to a private hospital they really can't help us with the bill since their budgets are allocated in government funded hospitals.

Our baby is still at the hospital with a running bill that is already at 224,000PHP ($5500CAD). Our monthly income combined is not enough to cover the expense and we are knocking to your good hearts with good intention to help us with any amount. It would really go a long way and it will definitely assist us pay some of the hospital bill.
