3 years ago, I would never have thought that I would be in the boat I am now.
Hubby was working a solid job and I had just started a new job with great earning potential.
In December of that year, he suffered an IOD which he never recovered from which resulted in him ‘loosing’ his job. He was medically incapacitated. No job, no money. We survived by him doing odd jobs to bring in the extra income, all the while getting ourselves deeper and deeper in trouble. Mr credit record is so bad that I can’t move from where I am. I get declined at the first smell of a credit check. On the 28th of May 2018, Roy suffered a stroke, leaving him completely paralyzed on his right hand side, unable to speak or use the bathroom. Through months of physio, he has now regained the ability to walk and is no longer on nappies, but he is still unable to speak. On 6 Feb, I had him at the ophthalmologist, who confirmed that due to the stroke Roy is clinically blind in his left eye and there is nothing that can be done which he took really badly and on 10 February 2019, Roy has a full on epileptic seizure, which set us back a few months yet again. Being without a car, makes transportation extremely challenging, so I’m unable to get Roy out as often as what we would like and we have missed many appointments because of this.
I am now at the point where I struggle to support my family and desperately to be able to dig myself out of this mess. I'm desperately trying to raise enough funds so that I can buy a good second hand vehicle, settle all outstanding debts, get a new home and replace all the broken necessities, in our current home.
