Fill my car with aid for an animal shelter

TL;DR - Raising funds to provide necessities for a local animal shelter

Extending the goal date as limitatons are imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Short Statement

We think those weaker than us should have ample lives. Two cats, a sweet old lady dog, a degu and dozens of stick-bugs were welcomed to our apartment. We opened our home to some but we cannot open it for everyone, thus the urge to give something even more.

Cause

The cause we are raising aid for has been ongoing in our lives for a couple of years already. Sometimes we would spend part of our pay and do it ourselves, sometimes we would ask family to pitch in. This time we would like to fill up a car up with food (and other requested items by the animal shelter) to the brim as it is quite off-putting hearing that the bags of food we brought will last for less than a day.

What we are planning

The donated amount, if the campaign is successful, will be used for purchasing:

• Premium cat and/or dog food;
• Cleaning utensils;
• Anything else the shelter advises they are in need of.

We commit to pay for gas and any other travel related expenses. We will also contribute ourselves in addition to the donated amount. Even if the campaign is unsuccessful, we will provide what we can to the shelter.
