Campaign Story
The Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir is a simple parish-based choir from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines. With “our song, our prayer” as our sincere and humble mantra, we have been able to reach out to countless audiences in sharing our gift of excellent choral music. Since its founding in 1999, the group has won competitions, joined festivals and helped with fund-raisers in Asia and the United States.
This coming August 2018, we hope to make it to Europe! We have invitations to join the Cantemus Chorus for their festival in Nyiregyhaza, Budapest, perform with the MidtVest Girls Choir in Herning, Denmark, and do concerts with Ditse Productions in Copenhagen and Ebeltoft, Denmark. This is yet another opportunity for us to proudly share the Filipinos’ rich musical heritage to the rest of the world, at the same time offer up prayers for peace through song.
With your generosity, we hope to bring 35 Filipino choristers with ages ranging from 8 to 18, from different schools around Metro Manila. Help us ease our travel by donating and sponsoring some of our children’s expenses. Each child needs:
Air Travel: $1000
Land Transportation: $300
Travel Insurance and Visa Fees: $200
Tours and Meals: $100
