Figure skating is my everything

I am 14 years old Selina Kaneda, 2018 Junior Champion of figure skater in Lithuania. I am a member of Lithuanian National team in the Junior category and a multiple National Champion of youngsters.

During the season, I am practices hard and demonstrates outstanding results at National and International competitions. I am a 3^rd place medalist of 2019 International Childrens Winter Games in Lake Placid (USA), a winner of “Hellmut Seibt Memorial” in Austria – one of the most prestigious events in figure skating not only for youngsters but also for Junior and Senior skaters. I am also a winner and medalist of competitions in Latvia, Estonia, Austria and Hungary Republic. I participated twice in ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2018.

Moreover, my talent was noticed by former Lithuanian Ice Dancers, 5-time Olympians Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas. 2016, 2017 and 2018 I was invited to take part at their annual figure skating show across Lithuania which was a huge success.

I am one of the main candidates to represent Lithuania at the upcoming European Youth Olympic Festival and World Children Games.

I am motivated, hard working. I want to improve and participate in the Olympics very much.

I broke my eyebrow through the show, broken my leg and my arms on ice during the training, but I want to become a world famous skater. Figure skating is my life, my dream, my everything.

In order to achieve high results, I have to train abroad, go to the skating camps, seminars. Figure skating training, choreography training, physical training, figure skates costs a lot. It is very expensive. My mom is raising me.

Unfortunately, Lithuanian Skating Federation is constantly facing financial difficulties which prevent from complete and full preparation for most important International skating events of young athletes.

Any financial support for me is very important to me. Thank you all for understanding and making my dream come true from all my heart.
