Hi! I am writing this letter in the hopes of being able to touch your hearts. I am Merry Heart Jennings, 29 years old and a mother of 2. I have been bravely battling with cancer for 2 years and I am here to share to you my story.

On January of 2017, I was initially diagnosed with classical Hodgkins Lymphoma, Nodular Sclerosis. I was devastated. Hearing that news at a young age, I was eager to get myself treated because I wanted to get well not only for myself, but for my family. I eventually underwent ABVD treatment protocol for six (6) cycles and further received twenty-five (25) sessions of Radiation Therapy which was completed sometime in October-November 2017. Being able to get through such journey was tough but I knew I had God and my family as my support system. For a time, I was happy and I felt healed. I was ready to turn to a healthy lifestyle to be able to live a longer life for my kids. But I guess God has other plans for me.

On February 2018, just 3 months after my Radiation Therapy, a repeat CT-Scan showed recurrence of the disease. I had a thin line of faith but I knew I had to keep on going. I then started on single agent Brentuximab, a salvage Chemotherapy to Auto Stem Cell Transplant for a total of fourteen (14) cycles. I've done evaluations by CT-Scan during the course of treatment and thankfully, it showed good response. Currently, I am in Manila for a pre-transplant evaluation.

This is my last string in the hopes of being cured and I am knocking doors to charitable institutions and generous hearts to extend their help in my fight for what seems like an unending battle. I have come too far to stop now and I am hoping to receive a shower of your grace.
