‘In order to make those who are working in or wants to engage in Manufacturing industry and Agricultural industry to feel proud and honoured of themselves, we have to encourage them to produce with autonomy and export their products to the world, so as to Liberate Hong Kong.’

Incomplete industrial chain, unsystematic organization and heavy workload lead to the short of hands in local manufacturing and agricultural industries. As younger generations refuse to join these sectors, significant gaps appear on the path of development of these two industries, if not a complete halt. If nothing is done to reinvigorate local manufacturing and agricultural industries, they will inevitably decline, and be eliminated gradually.

In “One More Choice: Revitalizing Local Manufacturing and Agricultural industries Internship Programme”, teenagers earn the chance to work in local timber factories, cosmeceutical factories, wineries and farms as an intern for two months. Through this experience, interns are expected to gain a thorough understanding to these area, and be attracted to join them after graduation so as to extend the life expectancies of these sectors.

“One More Choice.”

Not only can youngsters explore their future direction in “One More Choice: Revitalizing Local Manufacturing and Agricultural industries Internship Programme”, they can also gain skill set and business management mindset in this unique experience. Moreover, it is hoped that participants can apply the knowledge and insights acquired from the programme to the betterment of production and management system in local agricultural and manufacturing industries. With the vision of attracting young blood to join these sectors, we sincerely wish that local agricultural and manufacturing industries can be restored, and be an available career option for our fellow companions.

By evaluating applicants’ working attitude, passion, sense of responsibility, working expectations and personal goals, suitable candidates would be picked to participate in this programme.

During these two months, interns need to hand in three reports to record their observations, food for thought and obstacles they confronted at work. Upon the completion of this programme, interns are expected to assist FightingTak Studio in producing a video which summarizes their reflections. These reports and video will be uploaded to this website afterwards.

Appraisal will be conducted in this internship, with 10 marks in “Employer” and “Report” section respectively. Employer is expected to evaluate intern’s performance based on punctuality, performance at work and learning attitude, while the content of the reports handed in by the trainee will determine their marks at the latter section. The benchmark for “Qualified Interns” is to get 5 out of 10 in both sections. For those who failed to meet this requirement, interviews will be arranged to know more about the cause before declaring them as unqualified.

Allowance is to be distributed to “Qualified Interns” upon the completion of this programme, with extra monetary award to high-flyers. Allowance will however not be granted to those who shown up less than 80% in the internship, who withdraw from the programme or who is judged as unqualified.

The amount raised from this crowdfunding campaign will only be used as internship allowance for Qualified Interns.
