Fighting with HLH

Dear All,

This is my son Tran Thai Hung , he is really an angle of my family.

However, unluckily he is facing a severe life threatening disease.

His health problem started with a prolonged fever when he was 4 months. The doctor of children hospital in Ho Chi Minh has not taken care him well. After 3 months in hospital he started septicemia but the doctor did not do anything. Every day I ask them about situation of my son they always said wait and wait and 3 weeks ago we got a disastrous diagnosis. My son is suffering of HLH ( Hemophagocyitic Lymphohistiocytosis). HLH is a very rare disease by which the immune system begins to damage the patient’s own tissues and organs, including the liver, brain and bone marrow where blood is made. After 3 weeks treating with dexa and antibiotic they said we should bring him to home although he still has fever over 39 °C. I asked them to send him to another hospital. They suggest to bring him to K & K hospital in Singapore. There is a specialized doctor in this hospital. He has checked the disease document of him and he gave me optimism that they can cure the disease.

The problem is that the treatment at K&K hospital is very expensive (estimated 200,000 $) and it surpasses by far my financial situation now. When I sell sell my house and other valuable things I can collect may be only 50,000 $.
