Hello. Here is a little background to why I have started a fundraising page.

In 2005 I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma Skin cancer. It was later discovered I had a very rare syndrome, Gorlyns Syndrome, which attracts such cancers. I have been on treatment ever since and will be for the rest of my life. I have surgery approximately every 6 months to remove the spots (BCC’s) off my skin. They are mainly on my chest and back and do reoccur. Occasionally I undergo Radiation treatment to further remove any cancer that was maybe not picked up in the area of surgery.

My aim with this page is to raise funds to help me with my medical costs as sometimes I am unable to work, and anything I collect over and above the medical bill I will be donating to CANSA, an Association in South Africa who cares for people suffering from cancer. Amongst other things, they run care homes in South Africa for patients who require treatment at a certain Hospital. They charge a very minimal rate, if the patient can afford it, and supply accommodation, 3 meals and transport to and from the hospital.
