The Healing Journey
Mrs. Merilyn Avelino Bodiongan and Mrs. Nicefora Avelino Moralde are siblings from the town of Aloran, Misamis Occidental Philippines. They are 59 and 60 years old respectively. Both have humble and charming personalities in their own simple life.
This 2017, they have been diagnosed with breast cancer at almost the same period of time. Merliyn has undergone brain tumor surgery (due to metastasis) thru Gamma Knife procedure - and at this time both are undergoing series of Chemotherapy treatments.
Along with this Chemotherapy treatments are 17 injections of HERCEPTIN which will be performed once in every three weeks. After these HERCEPTIN treatments are additional sessions of Radiation Therapy as part of continuous medication.
HERCEPTIN is one of the most expensive cancer drugs in the world with an estimate cost of 4,500US Dollars (230K++ Pesos) per 440mg vial. Total estimated expense for this medicine only is at 76,500US dollars or 3.8M pesos.
But the cost is not an obstacle to the cure of these lovely ladies as the Lord will always take care of them in His ways. Because with your 50 cents donation and with our strength in numbers, together we will overcome this minor obstacle of their healing process - and we have the Lord as our greatest doctor looking up to them.
