Fighting Education

Hi, on behalf of many concerned citizens, I would like to knock your hearts for these poor kids who are fighting to support their education. Here in the Philippines, we have Modular learning, a form of distance learning that uses Self-Learning Modules (SLM) based on the most essential learning competencies (MELCS) provided by the Department of Education. The modules include sections on motivation and assessment that serve as a complete guide of both teachers' and students' desired competencies. The challenge here is that these poor kids don't have access to the internet, they don't own computers or even a basic smartphone. One of many sad stories these kids are facing is that they asked their parents to sell their cow or goat to buy a basic smartphone. But the parents can't do that. They tried to work on themselves carrying heavy loads of vegetables and walking for miles to reach the town and sell the veggies, hoping they could save enough to buy a phone. We will do our best to give them basic smartphones, we listed 8 of these students who badly need internet and basic smartphones.
