Campaign Story
I have had Crohn's disease my whole life but got fully diagnosed when I was 27 years old. The medications for this particular chronic disease are very expensive and then a year-and-a-half ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a bone and blood cancer, at age 40. I have had multiple bone marrow and stem cell transplants and have been continuously going through chemo. Most recently I started a clinical trial for immunotherapy but the bills are stacking up and I am having a hard time staying afloat. I have a 9 year old daughter who is the center of my universe. My father has been my biggest supporter and financial helper through this process, but the money has ran out. I have gone from a stage 2 to a stage 1 and there are hopes that with a few more months of treatment I might finally be in remission. But without the money to do so, it will not come true for me. I was also recently diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis, which means my spinal cord is being pinched by my vertebrae and with time could eventually lead to paralyzation, so now I am starting treatment for that as well. It is overwhelming, but I have tried to stay positive, especially for my little girl. I am hoping that through Go Get Funding I will be able to continue my treatments and start new ones for my back so I can get my quality of life back. If anyone can find a reason in their heart to help me, it would be appreciated beyond words. Thank you ahead of time for anyone who who takes the time to read this and feels it is a good cause. I always tell my daughter that whatever you put out into the universe is what you will get back in return. So I am sending out love and positivity to all. Hugs
