Imagine you're a beautiful teenage girl, just starting Grade Nine at a new school, discovering new friends and interests while sharing the excitement of these experiences In the warm circle of your besties, enjoying sleepovers and adventures on the weekends: in short, life's all ahead of you and it's awesome! Then, out of the blue, you receive a diagnosis that brings you to your knees, and devastates your family, your friends, classmates and teachers. This is Hayden Smith's story right now: a lovely, lively, joyful young woman who has recently learned she has leukemia. We will rally around Hayden and her family, surround them with love and support as they navigate this unimaginable challenge. Your donation will enable Hayden's family to be by the side of this most cherished daughter, sister, grand-daughter, and friend. Our hearts go out to Hayden and her family and hope this donation will help. Rather than using my name for the donation we would like it if you would use Katherine Stier, she is our grandaughter and is in Hayden's class. She asked us to donate to Hayden the money we would have spent on her Christmas gift. I would love to encourage some of her other classmates to unselfishly follow suit and let's raise a lot of money to help Hayden out!

We don't know you, Hayden, but our granddaughter does. I am a cancer survivor and have experienced this type of fight. Fight as hard as you can and always keep a very positive attitude, it really does help. We wish you a very speedy recovery. GO GIRL GO!

Hayden has recently became a friend of mine this year and I'm so happy we did become friends! She's such a beautiful girl, strong inside and out! I know she can do this! Stay strong girly.
