Hi, I’m Charmaine Santos, 27 years old. I create this page and decided to seek assistance in my condition.

My journey goes like this, I was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome 8 years ago. This kind of kidney condition is a rare one, this has no cure only prevention as I was told by the doctors before and on my own research. I was in sudden extreme edema, (water retention) Back in 2012 when it started, I’ve taken prescribed medications, but the retention went on, my body rejected the drugs and I weighted more. October 2012, I undergone my first renal biopsy, I was in hospital stay for 2 months. In and out.

For the past years I’ve taken series of laboratory procedures and medications to get better.In four years, 2013-2015 I regain my health and got back to work again, but this kind of sickness is a lifetime maintenance and truthfully this something me and my family been struggling with ever since. Were less fortunate, we work hard to survive every day living. I am just a wage earner as an office staff. My father is a security guard and my mom is a plain housewife, I have two siblings the other has already her own family and the other is currently unemployed. We’ve been juggling all our expenses to everything we needed. August 2016, my sickness relapsed. I’ve undergone my 2^nd renal biopsy, I was diagnosed from Nephrotic Syndrome to Secondary FSGS, and had to go all through the process of medications again.

We’re in debt, until today. I’ve been taking leaves from time to time bettering myself. Some of my hospital expenses are through salary deductions. I’m raising funds to somehow help me coupe-up with my medication’s expenses. Until today, I’ve been taking series of laboratory to monitor my sickness. I’m in dire need of your support.
