Fight for Nanay!

Dear Family, Relatives and Friends,

My name is Maricarl Jelai Bernardo, I’m turning 18 this coming May 18 and decided to cancel my long-time planned dream debut party.

Uncertain event happened to our family last April 7, my Nanay Mameng (grandmother), rushed to the emergency room then ICU at the Medical City as she suffered stroke –hemorrhage both on her left and right brain. As of now, Nanay is still in deep sleep, unresponsive but she is fighting and continuously healing.

I am knocking on your generous hearts to help us support in raising funds for Nanay – hospital bill is getting higher than expected. I've come to a decision to cancel my party when my family opened up about the hospital expenses. Instantly I thought of "mas kailangan ng pamilya ko ng tulong ko" and I told my mom to give all of the funds for Nanay's hospital bill.

Opening gifts really excites me but I would rather accept gifts that are surely helpful for my family. I would love to receive any amount as my gift. But I do understand that most of us are experiencing financial crisis during this challenging time, so I'm humbling asking for all your prayers for Nanay’s healing and fast recovery.
