Fight for Lung Cancer

Our Nanay Eva has worked hard to provide for us while growing up. Even at the age of 64, she supported her grandchildren's education when their own parents can hardly provide for them. In December of 2018, our Nanay Eva was excited for her retirement in August of the following year. She was also busy planning for her 65th birthday. But an unfortunate event in January of 2019 sent our lives in downward spiral. Our Nanay has been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of Lungs (Lung Cancer) stage 4. There was already multiple bone metastases. She retired earlier than planned since she badly needed the retirement funds for the hospitalization and chemotherapy. my brother Evan and I have been supporting all her needs for the treatment and hospitalization. her one-month supply of chemo pill is being sold at 325,000 pesos here in the Philippines. we purchase the pills from India since it is way cheaper there. Her pain meds for the bone metastases cost us around 20,000 to 25,000 pesos per month. Other maintenance medications add up. And just a few days ago, we had to confine her for an emergency surgery due to ruptured appendicitis. The surgery was uneventful but our hospital bills skyrocketed as she is now in the ICU. We have exhausted our funds already. Holding my Nanay's hand and feeling that tight grip tells me that she is fighting. Even with the endotracheal tube attached to her, she still manages to smile. We are not giving up on her. She is fighting and we too are. We are humbly and sincerely asking for help. No amount is too little for us. We appreciate all the help we could get for our dear mother.
