Campaign Story
Katherine Joy Esparar Pineda, JoyJoy as we fondly call her, is a 23 year-old vibrant and loving young lady full of promise and potential. Before she was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, she helps support her family as an Overseas Filipino Worker in Saipan.
When Joy learned about her condition, she had no choice but to go back to the Philippines, her home country, to seek more affordable treatment for her disease. The treatment protocol given by her doctor is 10 rounds of chemotherapy.
Facing this medical and financially exhausting challenge, we, her cousins, want to help support her in any means we can. However, resources on our end are also limited so we decided to start this GoGetFunding page to help her with medical bills, medication and recuperation. We are hoping that together, we can all support her through this ordeal. Together, let us FIGHT FOR JOY.
