Fight for Faye

As you are no doubt aware, Faye's struggle with Diabetes over the years has resulted in a situation where a kidney and pancreas transplant was a necessity. Despite huge amounts of success in the majority of patients in a similar situation, the donated organs to Faye were unfortunately rejected, resulting in Faye fighting for her life. Due to complications and despite her amazing strength, after 9 days on a ventilator, the only course of action to preserve Faye's already frail health, was an amputation of her lower leg. Faye is a mother of two beautiful children, Finn and Freya, ages 11 and 4 who must be missing their Mommy dearly. Faye was admitted to, and is still in, Cardiff University Hospital, a journey her family, in particular her husband Frank, has travelled 5 to 6 hours virtually on a daily basis in order to be with her. This will continue to be the case for the coming weeks. Many people have asked how they can help Faye and the family and whilst she is receiving the best medical care available at this time, there are many financial implications of the situation that we could all help with. There is a long road ahead for Faye and her family and if we can help in any way towards easing some of the financial strains then i know it would be greatly appreciated and more importantly it will leave the family more time to concentrate on Faye's emotional journey.
