Come watch me get punched in the face!
My name is David Rhodes and I am the Personal Training Divisional Manager at GoodLife Fitness for Calgary, Medicine Hat and Red Deer. I have been working in health and fitness for 5 years now and am excited for the opportunity to combine my love for health and fitness and doing work in the community with the Ronald McDonald house for patients and their families. These services do so much for families while they are dealing with their child being in the hospital. I have attended the event for the last two years and it has been unreal to see the dedication and effort the fighters put into such a great cause and now it is my turn to get into the ring! Boxing is a completely new challenge for me and I am training out in Calgary and flying back to Winnipeg for the fight to do my part. Please read below for more information about the event and how you can help. Every single dollar raised is needed and appreciated greatly by myself, the rest of the fighters/volunteers and of course the families in need. Thank you in advance for your donation.

We are proud to announce that the 2020 Fight for Charity event is in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Manitoba (RMHC).
Each and every day, the RMHC Manitoba Mission is delivered through their two core programs, Ronald McDonald House, at 556 Bannatyne Avenue, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, within the walls of HSC Children’s Hospital. Their mission is to help families stay together and feel supported as they manoeuvre through the challenging and confusing journey of childhood illness or injury. Every year, RMHC Manitoba supports over 2,000 families with overnight accommodations and day use programming. The services provided by RMHC Manitoba support the emotional and physical well-being of the family unit as well as help to ease the financial burden that accompanies childhood illness or injury. This integral support will save families over 1.35 million dollars annually in costly, out-of-pocket expenses.
By delivering important services such as accommodation, meals, parking, laundry, transportation, and programming, RMHC Manitoba is providing families with daily essentials allowing parents to focus on their sick child, their family, and themselves. Keeping families together during times of emotional turmoil allows them to stay strong and fills them with a deep appreciation for all those who are part of the RMHC Manitoba Mission.
RMHC Manitoba is truly proud to be an integral part of the network of care for sick children and their families and is grateful to their community of compassionate supporters.
What one accomplishes alone can be good, but what many accomplish together makes a difference.
Our fundraising goal for the 2020 event is $50,000. Please help us get there by donating anything you can to this worthy cause and sharing this page. Every dollar counts!!
