This year's Fight For Charity is in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Winnipeg, and all proceeds go to that end.

It has a special meaning for myself as I have been a big brother for 2 years and 18 years ago was a little brother myself. It is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.

My interaction with Big Brothers Big Sisters began when I was a young man in Ottawa, I was matched with Mark Bowman. We were together for over 2 years, our time together inspired me to join the program. Being a big brother now gives me alot more understanding for the work, patience, and dedication which goes into being a big, and the reward of being part of someones life.

If you know me you have probably heard me mention my little brother, Vincent AKA Vincenzo. He is the reason that I enjoy being a big brother, being a part of his life as he develops into an adult is beyond words. Vincenzo is an athlete of no small order representing Manitoba in the Western Conference for U16 Football in 2018. To that end we frequently do weight training together, to my dismay he excels at it, and is almost lifting more than me... almost.
