Hi. I'm Khai. I am the sister of Claudette Fe Eser, the mother of Baby Avery. I am writing this story on my sister's behalf who is currently admitted in Aster Hospital in Dubai UAE together with her premature baby Avery (her name).
I’m writing their story in the hopes of gathering financial support to help my sister and her baby to their medical finances in the hospital. My sister Claudette, working in Dubai as a Nurse, was brought to the emergency of Aster Hospital due to too high blood pressure last September 1, 2020. She was being monitored for a week and 2 days. Due to uncontrollable high blood pressure and high sugar level, that may result to vision loss and other complications, her OB decided to have and emergency CS. My sister then gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last September 9, 2020 named Baby Avery. Baby Avery is a premature baby at only 28 weeks old. Baby Avery is currently monitored in NICU and we keep our faith that she will get stronger and healthier everyday. Kindly include her in your prayers.
My sister Claudette was about to be discharged yesterday, September 13, 2020. But until now she is still at the hospital due to her unpaid medical bills. The billing for her maternity only (not yet included medical bills of baby at nicu) was 15,923.21 AED which is equivalent to Php 210,602.00. She has an insurance and she taught that her insurance will answer all her medical bills, but unfortunately what is covered to her insurance amounted to 9,000 AED only and my sister has to pay 7,000AED which is PHP92,530.00 in peso. She is asking her friend's financial help in dubai so that she can be discharge today September 15, 2020. To be ready, she asked the hospital how much is the per day in NICU, and to her surprise it will cost 12,000AED per day and it is PHP 162,000 converted in peso per day. She is now stressed and depressed on how and where she will get money for her baby staying in NICU. The baby is only 28weeks and has to stay in NICU for more than a month to be ready to live without machine support and that would cost us more than a million of peso. What keeps my sister going is her baby is a fighter and getting better everyday. Little by little, the breathing support and other apparatus are being removed to our Baby Avery as she keeps getting better (Praised the Lord). As much as we want to share how beautiful our little warrior is, wee don't have photo yet of our baby since the hospital is strict in taking photos.
We are asking for your help and understanding. I like to thank everyone for taking the time to read this story, including us in your prayers, imparting words of strength and encouragement, as well as to those who will be in their good of heart to share their generosity and donate and will spread this message.
Many thanks and God bless us all
