Feed poor families in Gaza during Ramadan project

Ramadan is a festive time in many parts of the Muslim World. Not so in Gaza, where souring prices and poverty but basic and traditional foodstuffs out of reach for most families.

Thirteen years of siege on Gaza and continues to push the population into poverty, making them increasingly vulnerable to food insecurity. 80 per cent of the population in Gaza is dependent on aid; the unemployment rate stood at 42.9 per cent the highest worldwide according to the World Bank.

The economy is at the brink of collapse and rising prices and inflation add to the difficult living conditions. Gaza households spend already more than 50 per cent on food There are a lot of families do not have the ability to buy food, drink and clothing for their children those in need, therefore I decided to seek a project food parcels that contain several types of foods necessary to get their need.

Our annual Ramadan campaign enables people to share the joys and blessings of the holy month with families in Gaza.

I'm Mohammed A. Radwan from Gaza, and now I'm living in Greece, I was doing a charity works to help my people in Gaza with my team Knights of Gaza. The team in Gaza will continue working to help poor people. I'm trying to help my people with this campaign at gogetfunding site in Ramadan.

The donations I received last year allowed us to distribute over 500 parcels of food for needy families in my town Khuza'a who could not afford Iftar meals.

The project will target needy families in the village "Khuza'a" who are suffering poverty and need and deprivation. My team Knights of Gaza will provide a helping hand to them as much as we can, feed children, women and elderly people, some of them disabled or people living in the large tragedy and poverty summit.

The support of our donors around the world is vital, allowing us to reach families in need who might otherwise be forgotten.

Each parcel costs 30$. The packs contains : Margarine, cheese, Oil, Sugar, Tea, Juice, dates, canned beans, canned fish, lentils humous, sweets( Halawa ), strawberry jam and pasta.

By making a donation, you are changing lives of poor Palestinian families in Gaza.
