COVID-19 CAME..

India has been put in lockdown to halt the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. People have been told to stay indoors, but for many daily-wage earners this is not an option.

Delhi, the capital of India has a large population which is put on hold due to the lockdown. So no one is allowed to work and are ordered to stay home. Its a great step taken by the government to reduce the spread of coronavirus. All the public transport including trains, buses, taxi, etc. are shut down and the borders of all states are sealed. Although at the later phases of lockdown some relaxation is being given, yet the situation is still very grim.

AND THEN CAME HUNGER!!!

There are thousands of poor migrants who came from neighbouring as well as far flung states in search of livelihood as daily labourers. But due to the lockdown they have lost their livelihood and are desperately migrating to their native states.

At least 90% of India's workforce is employed in the informal sector, according to the International Labour Organization, working in roles like security guards, cleaners, rickshaw pullers, street vendors, garbage collectors and domestic helps.

Most do not have access to pensions, sick leave, paid leave or any kind of insurance. Many do not have bank accounts, relying on cash to meet their daily needs.

India's destitutes fear that hunger may kill them before coronavirus

The migrants including children and women have started moving back to their native states. As there is no proper facility of transportation, they are forced to cover thousands of kilometers on foot without a single grain to eat and are suffering from acute hunger. There are thousands of people who are on the streets, homeless, hungry, desperately waiting for some helping hand.

Our Initiative.!!

We are supplying food to about 150 people who are currently residing in a shelter. We serve them meals 2 times a day and provide them with basic hygiene products like soap, sanitizer and face masks.

Our work is on full swing but due to limited resources we have started running low on funds.

That's where we need your help. Even your smallest contribution to our campaign would mean a lot to us and the needy people. We are earnestly looking for your monetary help as we don't want to stop our campaign and see those people loosing hope.

Every little bit helps!!

We will stand firm together and look forward to continue extending help to the needy people!!

....and please: Help us and share this message with all your friends!!
Support us financially and we insure that it arrives at the right spot where it's needed.
