Dear Family and Friends,
We live in a world whereby there is a division between the fortunate and unfortunate and, in most cases the unfortunate are hidden away and ignored.
After my most recent trip to the Village of Babalitan (no access to electrical power) in the district of Pensiangan, Sabah, to document their recent installation of solar panels, I had the urge to look into social issues that is going on in my own town of Kota Kinabalu.
By no means I want to try and solve it single handedly, but I want to try and just tap in, even if it is just a little bit, by contributing in whatever means possible with both of my hands.
First of all, just to get an idea of what I am trying to achieve. I have been in contact with a few acquaintance and they have been feeding the homeless hidden within the city. And with the current funding they are receiving, they are only able to provide food a few times a month.
With this campaign, I intend to raise some money and hope there will be more funding to provide food at a more frequent basis.
Just to give an idea of the amount needed. There are about 100 mouths to be fed. The current assumed expenditure is about rm3 per pax. If you do the maths, that is about RM9000 a month, if fed on a daily basis. The balance will be used for any miscellaneous items such as transportation etc. But the hope is that, there will be more donation to have this last longer. I will do my best to keep this page updated.
If there is any delay in the reporting or in getting this project moving, I apologies in advance, but rest assured, the money will be used for the greater good.
Your support on this is very crucial, and for those who happens to be in Kota Kinabalu and wants to be part of the group to feed the homeless, please by all means drop me a message. I will documenting the process to hopefully create more awareness within the community that more help is needed to resolve this issue.
I thank you in advance for your generous support.
I look forward to keeping you updated.
p/s The video i uploaded is nothing related to the homeless, but a video I made when i visited the Village of Babalitan.
