Feeding, clothing war-affected orphans and vulnerable children in Democratic Republic of Congo

We are raising funds to assist children and vulnerable women who have been victims of civil wars in eastern Congo. They have no food or clothes. Most of them can not go to school because of misery.

In the context of civil long standing wars in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, innocent women and children are experiencing distress. We are referring to the village of Makobola in Fizi territory, one of the most war-affected villages which has seen on December, 30 1998 worse than many other events, the carnage of more than 702 of its adult inhabitants leaving hundreds of widows and orphans. Genocide continued in other villages and the situation became more complicated. We can imagine how grew up children of Makobola village who witnessed their parents thrown alive into the fire and dying inside it. There is still a scenario of fear and anxiety in them while in addition to this, people are struggling with extreme poverty. As result, children and youth engage in armed group force either to commit murder as a way to take revenge or in search of livelihood.

To help them find hope to live in peace, we show God's love through His Word including various basic needs such as clothing, shoes which are provided by the Tanzania Assemblies of God church of Dodoma, Tanzania.

We need you to join us in helping our fellow humans who live hopelessly. Of course, $10 is enough to get a daily meal for a child while attending school. $20 can buy school uniforms for one primary school child. $30 is worth buying school equipment and paying for one month school fee. $50/month can cover accommodation costs for a homeless family.
