This year’s UN world food day theme “Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development is the reason for Food for All Ghana’s choice in observing the day within Afram plains south district.

Afram plains south district in the Eastern region, is one of the poorest districts in Ghana with over 76% of children out of school and in underage employment; fishing on the Volta lake or working on farm during school hours.

Since November,2016 Food for All Africa has been working with DMAC Foundation, a local NGO within the district providing food ingredients to organizations working to support and encourage school age children back into the school environment.

From 13th-17th October, Food for All will be organizing a durbar and food sharing program in partnership with DMAC, Livestock including poultry and goats will be shared to school children to rear at home as an incentive for going to school.
