FEED THE POOR AND NEEDY MUSLIMS IN KENYA

As-salaamu Alykum (May peace be upon you all)

My name is Khalid Ali and I am currently in Mandera, Kenya. Usually during this month of Ramadhan, this local community's shops and mosques are busy preparing for the holy month of Ramadan, but unfortunately they are closed to implement social distancing.
The mosques here in rural Kenya (Mandera) play a key role in feeding the fasting, directly and indirectly. However, as its all over the world, the ##Coronavirus Pandemic has affected these usual tradition and this Ramadan is one that the local communities have never experienced.
Here in Mandera, Kenya, just like most places around the world, its under mandatory lockdown from dusk till dawn thus shutting all mosques. These mosques is where the poor were fed and funds raised to help the needy thus closing them has had more devastating effect on the poor and the vulnerable in the society.
We are hereby passionately appealing to anyone and everyone to help feed the poor in Mandera, Kenya during this holy month of Ramadan and help bring unity to the Ummah through charity. This is a 100% donation project. Every penny will reach the poor inshaAllah.
I am running this project personally and it includes buying food items and distributing it to poor households (mainly single mothers with children).

The project will be supporting the needy and poor by providing food items to the poor and needy families. Food items include; rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil and dates. The cost of feeding an single family is £50 for the month.

This is unusually challenging time of PANDEMIC, where many of us are in lock down, but we shouldn't forget our brothers and sisters who are in need during this month of Ramadhan. We can all do good by helping the less fortunate.
