Feed The Needy In Chau Doc

Vietnam's rapid economic growth in the past decade has lifted many out of poverty. But that's not really the case here in An Giang Province, one of the Mekong Delta's least developed and where a lack of jobs has lead many to some hard choices.

The Chams live mostly in poverty along the banks and canals of the Mekong River.

Many families in the rural areas in An Giang Province live far below the poverty line. They can barely attend to basic living needs throughout the year. They have no land and no adequate health-care.

Reach Out Squad is a non-profit organization founded by IIUM Alumni students who have been in this humanitarian cause for more than 4 years, a group of ambitious, strong willed and dedicated people who intend to contribute their time and energy to help those in need, in and out of Malaysia. Since 2014, we’ve been helping with some of the most impoverished communities in Thailand, Cambodia and Nepal for humanitarian outreach programs.

This year, we'll be focusing on reaching the needy and impoverished people of Chao Doc, a city in the heart of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.

Program Description

Reach Out Squad will be organizing Reach Out Series: Qurban @ Vietnam 2018 program from 20th August until 26th August 2018.The program primarily aims to provide meat and food distribution to the underprivileged families in Chao Doc.

We are trying to raise a donation for Food Parcel for only USD13 (MYR50/SGD17). It consists of 10kg of rice, sugar, milk, cooking oil and soy sauce. Your donation will help them for a month or two and we will be grateful for any contribution from you.

In order to make this happen, we will need your help. A donation of any amount will be appreciated and accepted. Together, we can bring a smile and hope to the lives of the children and villagers :)
