Feed the Homeless

Hello everyone, I am Emmanuel Tortogo, a twenty-one year old from Philippines.

Here in Manila, PH, life is tough. Today here in the Philippines every night we experience heavy to moderate rain. I was headed home from my work in early September. It was brutally raining that Tuesday night, In that area somewhere in Manila there's a flood and garbage floating every where. When I passed by at the foot bridge, I noticed some guy holding an umbrella while sitting on the wood so that his pant won't get wet and his holding his backpack, His only shelter is his umbrella. He looked very miserable.

I felt very bad for the guy. I gave him my jacket for extra protection for the rain. Something came up on me and I said " Why do this to one man?". When I got home I did some research. Only to find out that Metro Manila, Philippines has the world's highest homeless population. I realize that these people have to face hunger and rain with no proper shelter and protection. I want to help these people by giving the something or anything.

We are very determined that this week fewer unfortunate people will have to face the hunger and rain alone. A solid way to make sure people aren’t suffering alone in the rain would be to provide rain coat, umbrella and also warm food.

We intend to provide more than one these things, but I’m going to need your help.

OUR GOAL - Raise $1000 to buy and distribute rain coats, umbrellas and food to the homeless by this Pledgegiving. Can we count on you?
