Can you buy a big basket of produce for a family in Gaza? For just $35 USD you can donate delicious and nutritious food!

I have recently distributed bags of flour amongst this community, and I would like to complement this ingredient with a the foods necessary for a balanced diet.

GAZA

the people of Gaza have been under siege for 10 years, and they have been subjected to several attacks in this time. Together with political tensions, the consequences have led to tens of thousands being forced into abject poverty and a deteriorating infrastructure. People working for essential services, such as teachers and nurses have not been paid by the government. The last power station recently closed leaving Gazans with as little as 2 hours of electricity per day. The people are forced to live a hand-to-mouth existence, and there are so many who are increasingly reliant on food paid for with donations.

MY AIM:

I hope to raise $3500 USD

to buy wholesale produce for distribution amongst the poorest people in my community living in the east of Gaza City.

There are those with a disabled family member and those with no income. We have a database of 100 of the most needy families, and I would like to provide them with wholesome and nutritious food during Ramadan.

I have done a lot of research on suppliers and have found the best prices for a wide range of produce that I would hope to obtain.

FOOD!

The Ramadan food bags will include vegetables, pulses, oil, dates and staples such as rice and lentils. This is the list of food I aim to add to a basket costing just $35!
