Feed Newport appeals for funds to help continue its work

We offer support to people who are homeless, refugees, older people, people fleeing domestic violence, and those at risk through living in poverty. Every weekend we feed the homeless and hungry.

Feed Newport (CIC) is continuing to provide food and emergency packs to the homeless, elders and less fortunate families.

Its Covid-19 Response Team was set up as an emergency response when the our comunity hub had to close its doors to the homeless and other people it had been helping.

Throughout lockdown, Feed Newport has been providing them with meal packs that include face masks as well as hand sanitiser thanks to the City's homeless and vulnerable.

Feed Newport distributes upto 300 grocery bags/boxes a month.

The number of food parcels Feed Newport delivers increases every week. Throughout the lockdown, Feed Newport has been getting a lot of referrals from councils, the NHS, social workers, police and, most of all, social media.

Because of the pandemic, many of Feed Newport ’s funders’ and supporters’ donations stopped.
