ACT Foundation South Africa feeds about 120 - 300 children every Saturday. The children come from Diepsloot, Johannesburg, to have a hearty, freshly prepared warm meal - for many of the children this is the only warm, cooked meal that they have in the week; so a few extra helpings are served to those who want more. The cost to feed 300 children is R1000 per week. The funds raised from this campaign will enable ACT Foundation to feed children until December 2019.
December is also a time of celebration for the children as this is when ACT Foundation hosts a big party for them. Last year, 400 children enjoyed themselves at their "year end party". Party packs, gifts and food hampers were handed out to all 400 children; and volunteers received certificates of appreciation and gifts.
ACT Foundation South Africa is a registered NPO, with volunteers coordinating projects in Johannesburg, Durban and Knysna (to name a few). Have a look at the Facebook page for all past projects and weekly updates:https://www.facebook.com/ACTFoundationSA/ . Email [email protected] for more info.
