Fee and Ange – Being the Change We Want to See

Help Felicia and Angela be the change we want to see in the world!  With your help, we will be spending two weeks in Rwanda this July taking on the role of an older sibling and being involved in daily care activities which include feeding, teaching life skills, and playing with the children. We will work along side the house mothers to assist with teaching, homework help, childcare, and the daily operational running of the home.  We will also get the chance to teach the children crafts (Angela=crochet, Felicia=beading!)

From Felicia:  Words can not explain how excited I am to experience something so wonderful. If you can dream it, you can do it!  This has been my dream ever since I was 8 years old. I want to experience something life changing that will not only impact my Life but others as well. I have always loved helping people.

From Angela:  I've long been an advocate of community service.  I remember my mom taking me on Walk-a-thons around Detroit Lakes when I was just a tiny thing.  My sister, Chucky, has instilled this in my nieces.  When we go for walks they willingly pick up trash "to be good to the earth."  This is my opportunity to pass the spirit of service along to my amazing niece, Felicia.  She's going off to college next year and I truly believe this trip will expand her world view and help her focus on what is important in life.  This is a young lady who will make a wonderful impact on the world and I'm excited to take that first big step with her.
