#FEDBYHAIR is a movement of hairstylists teaming up and collaborating using their skills, talents and network to make a difference and to feed those in need. Currently supporting Vancouver based Directions, a youth shelter that has a nightly hot meal service, as well as provides local homeless youth with outreach care, basic necessities, and a warm and dry place to do laundry, have a shower etc. (To find out more about Directions and all of the amazing work they do, please visit Directions Youth Services).

Our fledgling goal is to raise $5000 or more through online contributions, in addition to the money raised by the collaboration videos created. Directions can make a hot meal for a youth in need for 85 cents on average, but their biggest challenge faced is trying to find healthy and nutritious foods at a manageable price, as well as a general lack of available food coming in with donations down and budget cuts rising. Together we can make a difference once mouth at a time.
