What's the number one rule of training at Fear None? That you never stop training!                         The rule of thumb is, if you can't afford the training fees for a couple months, due to loss of income, sudden expenses, etc. etc. that you never stop training. We are a family and take care of each other. To this date, I've managed to keep the doors open for 3 years, with and without money, and countless people have joined our family since I found us a home. Some go. some stay, but all leave with a special place in their heart for Fear None and everyone knows that they are always welcomed home at anytime.                                                                                                                                                         Why start this fundraiser?  I've been eating my brains how to purchase more equipment without raising training fees and without having to pack the gym to maximum capacity just to raise a few dollars. I absolutely refused to increase training fees, because my goal is to keep it to a minimum so everyone can continue to train without feeling like they are being choked by another exhorbitant bill. My goal is to continue to service the community, my friends, family members and Fear None family, and share mypassion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle with those around me, so we can go through life together, getting stronger, healthier,  and fitter.                                                                                                                   I got the idea of funding a project, from one of my Instagram followers who recently started her Wine making business in California. After researching the funding sites, I decided on using GoGetFunding.com because their fees are reasonable, 4% of the total raised, plus the normal credit card processing fee..which explains the odd amount I'm raising, $5,200. lol! I need to cover the fees once donations are made. So we shall all find out how smoothly this funding program will work, as you are part of this journey with me.                                                                                                               How will the funds be used?                                                                                                                              1) $3,000 will be used to purchase equpment for strength and conditioning. It will allow me to add to our arsenal of training equipment so that I can train everyone at a higher level. The problem I am encountering, is that everyone at the gym is getting fitter & stronger faster, so I need the tools to take you all to the next level. I am hoping to purchase a Prowler Sled, dumbells, medicine balls, barbells, ropes, kettlebells, foam rollers, plyo boxes, benches.                                                                                                2) I also plan to use a portion of the $3,000. budget to purchase a few smaller and lighter pieces to start a new program for students between 18 yrs and under.                                                                        3) $2,000.00 will be used to fund the training fees for 6 months for 10 students between the ages of 8 and 18 years, whose parents are not in a financial position to pay for training. This "scholarship" or "assitance program" will basically give an opportunity to students, kids, and young athletes, to loose weight (many girls ages 11-14 are battling with weight gain issues); or train young athletes in need a little extra help developing  their athletic skills, so they can pursue athletic scholarships etc. and advance to the next level; or some kids need help with their confidence, and training gives them a certain level of security and confidence as they become fitter, leaner, stronger.                                                         I am extremely excited to launch this 6 month assistance program, because I KNOW that Fear None can help to make a difference. It is my honor to be able to use my talents to help a parent to create an opportunity for their child. My desire to launch this program was recently fueled when I trained a couple young girls. They are both fighting weight issues spurred on by the early stages of puberty. Ironically, one girl's problem is overweight, while the other girl is under weight...two ends of the spectrum, both girls growing insecure and feeling hopeless daily. After 1 session, they had more hope in their eyes, than they had in a year, and wanted to continue training, BUT their mom could not afford to send both to train, so as a result, none are training. It's frustrating to me, because I know how training will help them to build their confidence, as they get in shape, and learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle as their body changes. It's not easy dealing with weight gain as an adult, can you imagine an 11-14 year old girl dealing with these issues and peer pressures?                                                             So now that you have a better idea of my goals and understand what I am trying to achieve with this fundraiser, I hope that in addition to contributing, you will encourage your friends and family to make a contribution. If you are not presently training at Fear None, I think you need to contact me so that you can come out and train with us. Training at Fear None is not just working out and exercise, it's a journey. It's an experience.                                                                                                                  Thank you always for your support,                                                                                                      Mala

  • Kicking off the fundraiser. Comm'on guys dig deep! You know we need the equipment! Pay it forward and help to give the kids around us an opportunity too. It's hard times for all of us, and harder times for others. Any of us can be hit hard financially, without warning. Up to year go I was doing great!!! $ was flowing... Then it went downhill in my business within a few months...trust me, when I say it can happen to you, it happened to me. Thankfully I've had Fear None to keep me sane and keep me in shape. It's not about the $ it's about the experience, the journey and the support. Give generously, let's meet this goal. It will come back to you tenfold.
