Who Am I?

Hi, my name is Clinton Van Rheede Van Oudtshoorn. Today I am proud and privileged to be telling my story to all of you. Ive been given a second chance to do things right. I used to be a very down and out heroin addict and struggled with the addiction for 13 years. (But, Im very proud to say that, this year marks the 8th year of my Sobriety and going very strong.) Ive been to places and done things no human should ever do or go. Ive seen death and lived to tell the tail. Ive lost many friends and lost alot of self respect. But, what was harder to lose than all that, were my Daughters, Tyla and Layla, who I have not seen or heard of for over 7 years. It is hard not knowing their whereabouts and how they look or sound. But, I decided that I am not going to be the person that feels sorry for himself. Instead, Im gonna dedicate my life to helping other fathers not make the mistakes I did. Cause children need their fathers, and fathers need their kids.

Fathers Recovered PTY LTD

Fathers Recovered is a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center that is focused on recovering Fathers from addiction. Im tired of this problem we call addiction, breaking up homes and depriving young innocent children the privelage of having fathers and even mothers in their lives. They suffer more than we do and Im gonna make it stop. Our program is a 6 month inpatient program, that is designed and taught by a me, aswell as people that have either been directly affected by addiction or been addicted as some point. So, we have the knowledge, experience and tools for recovery to take place in Fathers Recovered. But, I need help with funds of as much as I am able to raise for this mission to become a reality.

THE FUNDS NEEDED

The funding amount of R500000 is what I need to get the Rehabilitation Centre started and operating. A new premises is needed and all the necessary furniture to start with beds, cupboards and so on... All medical supplies and foods are needed. We need to cover rent for atleast two months. Fathers Recovered needs more than one person to make this happen. Fighting the war against drugs is our job and we need to stand together and fight the war. WHY I CHOSE TO PERSUE FATHERS RECOVERED

I used to be one of those fathers that would rather do drugs than stay at home and be the responsible father I was meant to be. I learned the hard way and lost everything. I wish I had someone that was able to tell me how it would end and stop me from losing the two girls I live and breath for today. But, I didnt, so I decided to be that guy for the next man needing help. This isnt a campaign to try get sympathy or make people feel sorry for anyone. Its a campaign to show you we all still human and just need that extra nudge from someone that will let us know, it can be better.
