Hello everyone, my name is Blaze I’m an American who lives in Japan and been here quite along time now. I’m the one in the dark green jacket above, and that big guy next to me? Well... He’s my father.

He’s a retired Air Force aircraft mechanic who’s worked on F-15’s, F-111’s the F-22 and numerous other aircraft. In 2017 he got stationed in Okinawa as a civilian teacher, teaching new Air Force mechanics. Luckily Okinawa is only a 2 hour flight away from my city “Fukuoka” so I’d often fly there or he’d fly here to meet.

In late 2018, literally 2 months after I had just visited him he calls me up and informs me he has 3 tumors in his left kidney that are cancerous. He said he needs to get back to the states and would like to see a professional about it, as the Okinawa military hospital wasn’t so great.

I immediately jumped on a plane and flew back to see him one last time before he left back to America. It was a very sad time together, but my father who’s always cheerful and tries to make the best out of any situation showed me a good time while there and we did much site seeing together.

When he got back to the states he saw a professional doctor in Florida, the doctor stated at the moment the tumors are small and if they do any type of surgery now, it’s possible the cancer might spread. He said it would be good to keep an eye on them and if they grow, surgery then will need to be done.

Well, as you all know in 2020 Covid hit and because of this my father was unable to be seen or treated by doctors. The rest of my family and I figured he is ok, and the tumors are not growing as he seems pretty healthy for a 63yr old retired mechanic with a bad back, weak knees and hard hearing from being around loud jets always.

When Covid restrictions eased up he went to Georgia where my younger brother lives and went to a professional there to have an MRI and check on everything. Sadly... Thing’s didn’t go so great.

The tumors have grown and one is quite large, they’ll have to do a partial nephrectomy, which is where they’ll remove part of the kidney. This operation will take a little over 6 hours, they’ll have to cut him open and push away some organs to get to the kidney. Once they get to the kidney they’ll have only about 15 minutes to try and remove the tumors and part of it. There is a high risk the cancer could spread during this procedure.

Another BIG issue is, when my father was younger the doctors gave him steroids. This has caused him other health issues throughout his life and due to this, his right kidney is deformed and small. If they remove part of his left kidney, the right kidney won’t be able to hold all the function. He may need a kidney transplant.

After the surgery, if all goes well he will need to live on dialysis. I am praying all goes well, though it would be horrible to live on dialysis. It’s much better than passing away.

.
Now, I’d love to give you so much more details and information about this but my father isn’t telling me everything because I think he doesn’t want me to stress out and worry so much. Even though I’m already super worried! But when I speak to him, I can see in his eyes he knows he don’t have much longer... I can also feel it.
I been reading about his type of cancer and many only live up to 5 years.

He’s taking care of his will, and he was building a house on land he bought. But he’s now put a stop to all that and has to sell it all much cheaper than what he got it for. So I know things are bad, that house & land was his dream after full retirement.
But he is selling many things trying to get money for medical bills.

I love my father and so worried that soon I may lose him. May 30th he called me up and said he was rushed to the hospital for peeing blood. I know that’s not a good sign and it’s really made me sad and have much stress.

He was supposed to have his surgery on July 26th, but the hospital canceled his surgery claiming due to the Delta variant of Covid, hospitals are full and they can’t allow it. “Total BS” They rescheduled again for September 24th but just canceled again claiming they are full and think it will just get worse…

He has contacted other hospitals with the same results. Now it’s October and his tumors have grown, causing him pain and complications. He must have the surgery and get them removed. They have found a smaller hospital that treats cancer patients willing to do the surgery however his insurance is giving him a hard time again it and will not cover it. They’ll only cover it if it’s at the large hospital they recommend, which is not allowing him to have the surgery!

I know him & his wife are struggling financially during this time. He is retired and unfortunately she can’t work because she’s having side effects of the Pfizer vaccine she took. “Yes I know, the most of my family begged and pleaded for her not to take it” Due to this whole “Rona BS” they don’t have enough money and barely making it by as it is.

So I’m reaching out on here asking for people to please help, I’d love to be able to send them money to help out with everything as I know they desperately need so he can finally get this surgery.

Please help me be able to help my family. It would mean so much to me. Thank you & God Bless
