I am opening a retail store in the Shetland Islands that will sell unique and handmade items as well as quirky home interiors and gifts.

One of our main aims is to bring the Shetland culture and traditions to the rest of the uk. We are known for our incredible use of wool with fair isle patterns. You may have seen the 3 network advert #danceponydance filmed and based around the Shetland Islands, as well as bbc1 drama "Shetland" based on the Islands.

We will also be bringing an array of competitevly priced items to the residents of Shetland who are currently penalised for living on an off shore island by high postage costs and all gift shops maintaining high prices. There is NO competition!! However we are going to change this!!

I have found it hard to source funding from banks due to the current economic climate and my short credit history.

I am 21 however i have the ambition and drive it's going to take to make my business very successful. I work very hard and have an extended range of business knowledge from past employment and the numerous courses i have attended. Please help us reach our goal of £6000! :)
