Spdyget is a browser which does blocks Adware, Spyware, Malware before it reached your computer. It uses the power of cloud computing to filter the internet for you. It blocks fake sites and sites with bad reputation. The family version has safe search for Search Engines, Adult content filter, and defaults to Education when using Youtube.
The whole idea is to save money in the long run. You see computers mostly get bad when something goes wrong with them. We spend X amount of money every year to fix our pc. 95% of the problems comes from the internet. You might play it safe, but kids using your computer or someone using your computer might just click here and there.
How it started?
I come a networking background and work as a support technician. I get bombarded with calls, just because a Virus entered their PC and has made life difficult. Imagine, it can really get bugging when you are chilling out on the beach and trying to fix an issue over the phone. So, I decided to fix the internet first. I though, why not Filter everything out there before it reaches the end user.
Introducing Spdyget
Spdyget uses fast SPDY protocol for all it's browsing. This makes it really fast. SPDY uses SSL and so everything you do is covered under s secure connection all the way to the internet.
I created this in two flavors, of course both of them stop Virus and filter Spyware, Malware and Phishing sites. However one version is termed 'Family' which filter adult content and the other is termed 'General'. The general version does not filter adult content but stops the bad guys and internet junk.
The browser also comes with a standalone version, that does not require installation and can be run from a USB

Who want their kids to surf safely, without them getting worried.
Office Staff:
If you are restricted in office to a particular site you visit. You can use the standalone version. All browsing is secure over a SSL certificate, so administrators cannot monitor where you go. Just plug in your USB and you are good to go.
People traveling abroad.
If you are travelling abroad, you could take a USB version or have the normal version installed on PC. While browsing behind the Great Firewall of China, your browsing is safe and secured over SSL. Moreover you can connect to everything which is restricted outside USA.
People using public Internet access, like Cyber cafe, Airports, Railway Station etc.
Since all browsing is over HTTPS, everything is encrypted. Makes it difficult for anyone to figure your activities.
Grandparents/family, who love to click on every Advertisement and then call you to fix their PC over the weekend.
