Campaign Story
My father taught me a very valuable lesson: If you don’t ask you don’t get. He also taught me to give without expecting anything in return. He sadly passed away in December 2017 at the age of 92. I miss him so much. He was a wonderful father to me and an adoring grandfather to Jessica.
You owe me nothing for giving the love that I give
You owe me nothing for caring the way that I have
I give you thanks for receiving it's my privilege
And you owe me nothing in return
I try and live my life as he did – being thoughtful, kind and caring. And to make good choices. The best choice I ever made was to adopt Jessica as a single parent – there has never been a second of regret. She is my pride and joy. I want to give her the world and all the opportunities it has to offer.
Jessica’s passion for and ability in fashion & creativity has led her to pursue a career in Fashion (Media & Retail) as well as a high interest in fashion communication and styling. She achieved over 80% in her assessment as was immediately accepted at LISOF for a 3 year BA degree in Fashion & Media. She is thoroughly enjoying her first year…
Unfortunately things went pear shaped at the end of last year where I was forced to leave my job – I will spare you the details but am happy to share if necessary. I am actively looking to be gainfully permanently employed but as it stands nothing as yet.
I am requesting “a little help from my friends” until I get back on my feet. I will be sure to, as I always do “pay it forward” when I am able.
So please “dig deep” – I thank you in advance.
Jessica’s testimonial:
“Jessica is a mature and polite learner who is well respected by her peers and teachers. As an empathetic and attentive learner, she is perceptive to people’s feelings and opinions.
In her academic studies, she is able to think independently. Jessica is able to consider details as well as the greater significance of the curriculum. She responds with insightful ideas and suggestions during class discussions. We wish Jessica success and happiness in the future.”
