Extent: 21.11 hectare

Water: Borehole pumped to 3x 15 000l Jojo tanks with an in- line filter. The water has been

tested on numerous occasions and is suitable for bottling

There is also a small Dam and the property borders the Little Mooi river for 2km

Power: Completely off the grid Solar power. Power is available from Eskom too.

The solar system consists of 2x 1000 amp hour battery banks, 12 inverters and solar

panels. The system is 3-phase and has been programmed to allow maximum battery

life

Houses: A bit about the three houses before we move onto the really interesting stuff.

The main house has four bedrooms, three bedrooms, a guest loo, study, lounge, dining room and a kitchen with a scullery and pantry. There is one 300L solar geyser. The whole house has under floor heating.

The second house is about 100m from the main house. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, a large kitchen and open plan dining room.

The third house near the river has spectacular views of the mountain. It has two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. A 300L solar geyser as well as a gas geyser for back up.

There are also four staff bedrooms that share a communal bathroom, lounge and kitchen.

The top side of the farm has 6 small paddocks. They are all fenced and piplets for

irrigation. They are used for cash crops and rye grass.

There are fully fenced chicken and sheep houses. They are also covered with shade cloth to prevent birds of prey getting to the smaller animals.

The Vineyard is producing grapes and is nearly ready to harvest and make wine. The Orchard has a mixture of fruit and nut trees. These trees are already yielding fruit and nuts. There is piplet irrigation for the winter months.

There is a worm farm with four boxes. They are Red worms and their urine is used as a

pesticide for the gardens. They are very easy to sustain and are a great source of organic pest detergent.

There are two shaded green houses and have mature plants such as- strawberries, lettuce, celery etc. Both houses have drip irrigation. The tropical tunnel has an aluminium frame and Suntuf Polycarbonate roof sheeting. The whole tunnel has been piped for drip and overhead irrigation. The tunnel can be heated in winter by underground copper piping and radiator fans from the donkey boiler. The donkey boiler also has a small tunnel adjacent to it for micro- greens and germinating plants. There is a large outside bulk bed used for gems, pumpkins etc.

There is a sheltered open sided shed that has 6 cubicles. This can be used as storage

for equipment or wood. The main shed has three rooms. One is used for the solar

equipment, second for farm equipment and the third is used for grain/ salt storage

and has been metal proofed so no rodents can get in.

At the bottom of the property there is an Apiary with 10 established beehives that

yield honey in January every year.

There is a two point milking parlour, a small abattoir with a donkey boiler for hot water and a sheltered and fenced area for pigs.

There are four paddocks near the bottom sheds, each are about 2ha. Two paddocks

are kikuyu and two are cocksfoot. They are all fully fenced and have water available.

Sent a ton of links to this page on YouTube comments. Some of which I subscribe to. I expect to probably get bad comments, but hope to get some people whose hearts are touched. Lets see if this works?

Nothing from that area. Hope I didn’t irritate too many folks. I got permission from most of them before I posted on their channel
