Famunera is a digital platform that leverages mobile technology to improve access to high quality affordable agriculture inputs from verified suppliers and market linkages for smallholder farmers in Uganda.
The platform saves smallholder farmers from wasting money on buying counterfeit agriculture inputs and assures them reliable market from potential buyers.
So far, Famunera has served over 5,000 smallholder farmers and created over 1,000 indirect jobs fro the youths.
Famunera is currently fundraising $500,000 in order to serve over 150,000 more smallholder farmers, create over 30,000 indirect jobs for the youths and link over 50,000 smallholder farmers to market in the next 36 months (3 years). develop a USSD (non-internet-based short-code) platform, develop more tailored solutions and serve ten thousands of more smallholder farmers across Uganda.
Famunera requires to routinely organize weekly forums to train farmers in different districts across Uganda on Sub-County level on how to use the platform in order to increase their production and improve their household incomes.
